With over 40 years of purchasing and management experience, Jim understands the many obstacles faced by nonprofit organizations. He left the private sector to join CPO in 1986. Over the years, he has worked on a number of projects that has provided savings for many of our customers. $In 1999, Jim became Executive Director and led CPO through its fourth decade and into the 21 century. He has continued to work on behalf of all our customers through numerous negotiations with our local and national vendors as well as maintaining a hands-on approach with many of the services that we offer. $As the head of a nonprofit organization that is moving towards its fiftieth anniversary, Jim well recognizes the financial constraints of so many religious, academic and service-based institutions. Janice Petrick

Janice came to CPO in 2005. Although holding the title of Receptionist, she performs numerous duties beyond the scope of greeting visitors and managing our phone system. Whether handling the internet gift card ordering service or general data entry, Janice has proven to be a friendly, helpful and effective member of the staff. $If you’re calling CPO for the first time or you’re not sure with whom you should speak, Janice will connect you with the staff member to best serve your needs .Whether engaged directly with a customer or working behind the scenes, you can be certain, Janice will go the extra mile with a courtesy and professionalism.

Evelyn Ortiz

Evelyn has been with CPO for 5 years now. Starting in billing, she currently manages our financials. As with most of our employees, Evelyn is directly involved in a number of customer services beyond her primary job description. $In addition to her accounting duties, she oversees our Commercial Trash Disposal and Orkin accounts. Need a quote on a Server, Operating Systems or the latest gadget? Evelyn is also the person to contact for computers, software and related accessories. $With more than 30 years of experience in accounting and an Associate Degree in Business, Evelyn is currently attending University to get her bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Above and beyond many of her professional and personal endeavors, one of Evelyn’s biggest rewards is assisting our client accounts.

I have had the privilege of working at Central Purchasing for almost a quarter of a century! I was hired in November 1985, and have worn many hats, which has kept things fresh and interesting- no two days are ever exactly alike. I am currently serving in the capacity of Customer Service Supervisor. I assist our customers to find the best possible price, without sacrificing quality, on their everyday purchases- from office supplies to food service products, janitorial/maintenance supplies, lighting, church goods- anything a school, church or non-profit organization needs to keep things running day to day. $For me, personally, the most rewarding part of my job is knowing that I have helped my customer save not only money, but their most precious commodity- time. I take pride in knowing I checked several different sources to find the particular item they need at the best possible price. And if the need arises, I do my best to resolve any problems that may occur, whether an item needs to be returned or exchanged, in an efficient, courteous manner. It is my job to make your job as easy as possible. If you have any unresolved issues regarding a product or service you obtained through CPO, please call me. Karen Tyler

In October of 2000, Karen entered her employment at CPO by performing general office and billing duties. Moving into Customer Service, she has become an integral part of our daily operations. When she isn’t helping a customer or conferring with one of our vendors, Karen assists in maintaining our database and troubleshooting any vendor-customer problems that may arise.$ Her areas of expertise include general office supplies and equipment; as well as, Joshen products thanks to her command of their product line and pricing. Karen enjoys a strong relationship with this long standing and trusted vendor partner.
